Artemide, the renowned Italian lighting brand, has announced the opening of its new showroom in Miami, timed to coincide with the prestigious DESIGN MIAMI fair. Nestled in the heart of the Miami Design District, Artemide is one of the only showrooms entirely dedicated to the art of light. It will serve as a destination for architects, interior designers, lighting professionals, and design enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive look at Artemide’s iconic portfolio.
Founded by Ernesto Gismondi in the 1960s, Artemide has long championed the expansion of Italian design in the US. This new Miami location marks the continuation of Gismondi’s legacy, blending innovation with tradition, and extending the brand’s mission to elevate design through the art and science of light. Artemide’s commitment to innovation is reflected in its collection of patented lighting systems, including Carlotta de Bevilacqua’s A.24, Turn Around, and Funivia. These solutions, which marry minimalism with cutting-edge technology, provide flexible, highly efficient lighting that adapts seamlessly to any environment.
The Miami showroom is an immersive experience, showcasing lighting solutions created by world-leading designers and architects, including BIG, Foster + Partners, Herzog & de Meuron, Neri&Hu, Jean Nouvel, Gensler, Mario Cucinella, and Carlo Colombo, among others. Visitors can explore how these celebrated design voices interpret light, with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the creation of spaces that enhance well-being. The showroom offers a dynamic platform for collaboration, inviting designers to explore Artemide’s ground-breaking work in lighting while engaging in ongoing dialogues about the future of design.
