A Stourbridge-based family-run business has been named a winner in the Central England Prestige Awards for the third consecutive year.

Starkey Electrical was named ‘Electrical Contractors of the Year’ for 2023/24, marking the third year the business has won these particular awards, having been recognised for its loyal and engaged customer base.

Last year (2023) saw Starkey Electrical become one of only a handful of companies to earn the additional accolade of ‘multi-award winner’ having won ‘Sustainable Electrician Company of the Year’ following on from its success as ‘Electrician of the Year’ in 2022.

The company was praised for its positive engagement with customers on social media as well as customer reviews and testimonials. Starkey was also recognised for having built up a loyal customer-base in its local area.

Stuart Starkey, Managing Director at Starkey Electrical, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for the third time. Our ethos at Starkey Electrical has always been, and will always be, to provide exceptional end-to-end customer service and, of course, doing an excellent job in the process.”

Director, Lisa Starkey said the award win was a fantastic start to the year.

She said: “This year is shaping up to be an exciting year for us, with a growing team of expert electricians and plans to innovate and provide a growing service offer for our clients. This award is just the most brilliant kick start. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey so far and here’s to a successful 2024.”

The Prestige Awards believe that SMEs are the backbone of any economy, awarding those which are achieving excellence while making an impact in their communities.

Starkey Electrical provides building automation, solar PV, energy efficient LED lighting and EV charging services to clients in residential developments, leisure, education, healthcare and industrial facilities.

The team will be formally honoured at an awards ceremony on the 29th and 30th May at Moor Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
