TRILUX delivers energy savings of over 84 percent for Snowleader’s new logistics centre

Snowleader, an e-commerce specialist in mountain sports equipment, has recently inaugurated its cutting-edge logistics centre in Versoud, Isère. Spanning an impressive 25,000 square metres, this state-of-the-art facility marks a significant milestone in Snowleader’s commitment to providing top-quality service while prioritising environmental sustainability.

In their quest for an energy-efficient lighting solution, Snowleader turned to TRILUX, renowned for its innovative approach to illumination. TRILUX’s comprehensive turnkey solution, encompassing luminaire supply and installation, lighting management, monitoring, and financing, perfectly aligned with Snowleader’s vision for their new logistics hub.

Specialising in the distribution of ski and mountain equipment, Snowleader aspires to be a frontrunner in online outdoor retail while maintaining a strong environmental ethos. The launch of their new distribution centre in Isère, equipped with an automated storage and retrieval system (AutoStore), underscores their dedication to operational excellence and eco-friendly practices. This facility, four times larger than its predecessor, is poised to process an impressive 350 parcels per hour, with plans to dispatch one million parcels annually within the next three years.

The heart of Snowleader’s sustainability efforts lies in its lighting infrastructure upgrade. TRILUX replaced outdated iodide luminaires with 400 MIRONA FIT LED luminaires, renowned for their durability and efficiency in demanding environments. Boasting a service life of 100,000 hours even under high ambient temperatures, the MIRONA FIT LED ensures both longevity and cost-effectiveness. With a remarkable energy efficiency of up to 170 lm/W, Snowleaderanticipates over 84 per cent in lighting energy savings, facilitated by the LIVELINK light management system. This means that the system pays for itself after just 32 months, allowing Snowleader to finance the new installation with the savings achieved by LEDs.
